Hi guys

I am looking for a case that has dual PSU support. I know Cooler master has one, but I'd like to keep my kidneys for that dream holiday one day.

Anyone know of a cheaper brand?

Why do you want to use 2 power supplies?

The cases that I know of that supports 2 power supplies are the CoolerMaster Stacker (~R2000) and the Antec P190 (~R3000).

I know a friend of mine ran 2 full PC's with separate power supplies in a single case, but AFAIK the case had to lie on its side.

The reason I'm asking is cause I already have 2 PSU's, but neither one can run my entire system. I recently added a GTX 470. My system runs off a 585W and the GFX card runs off the other PSU. I've already wired everything so they both start up at the same time and whatnot, it's just that the cabling is a schlepp....plus it looks ugly.

My advise - sell those two and get and proper PSU. A dual PSU case is high end stuff, its going to work out much cheaper to just get a proper PSU, even without selling your current PSUs

It would be cheaper to get a decent PSU, rather than getting a new case.
A CoolerMaster GX550 should be able to run your system just fine and it goes for around R800.

IMO, the Odin 585 is a POS, because it's closer to a 400W PSU that can only run one graphics card that use less than 200W, and the GTX 470 is rated for 216W.

Just get a decent power supply.

What are your specs?

Just get a decent power supply.

What are your specs?

Core2Duo 2.13GHz, Gigabyte P35-DS3R mobo, 3GB DDR2 mem, 3x SATA HDD's +1x IDE HDD, IDE DVD-RW, Gigabyte GTX470 1280MB, 585W Odin PSU, Raidmax Smilidon Case.

I got the GFX card at a really good price and I recently bought the 585W...not knowing that I would get a bargain GFX card.

It is an old system I know. The GTX 470 isn't even running at it's potential due to the motherboard chipset not supporting PCI-X 2.0

Just get a decent PSU, dont muck around with a uber expensive dual PSU case. Or otherwise mod your current case.

You will see little benefit from PCI-ex 2.0. Your cpu is more of a bottleneck.

This would be a good power supply:

or if you can afford it rather get this:

Yeah, I know my CPU is the real issue, but that'll be my next upgrade. Thinking of going i5 760 or something. But for now I seem to be patching up holes in my current rig. That 650W looks promising.
