Just wanted to find out, in order to get a 96hrs visa for Dubai...is it necessary to book my flight strictly via Emirates?
I see Ethiopian Airlines has cheaper flights & wanted to use the instead.

I can't answer for the OP but a few months ago I helped a friend book his Visa directly on the governmental website. It took about an hour to find an confirm the correct page.

I went 21 - 25 Sept this year.

There is a link on the Emirates website where you can apply directly with them. U enter your flight details & on the next page where they offer you insurance/hotel etc, there is also a link that says *apply for your visa*...Click on that link & u get the visa application form. I paid 30 USD for a 96hr visa.

They only wanted my ID picture & name of hotel where I will be staying.

also, if you have a non SA passport (UK etc) you may not need a visa ahead of time. You get one automatically upon entry.
