Duke Nukem Begins

If you sucked back then then you probably still suck at them; the new rage of side scrollers like blasphemous. I like them a lot but I'm not so great with them either. So most end up bought, played and shelved. haha.

Probably, I've been wanting to get back into them though for nostalgia sake. Have plenty of machines that can still run them all natively.

Some are currently slated to be remastered and released this year, however, some are now 100% Bethesda IPs, so... don't expect everything to be remastered.

You don't need to get the originals, all these old games has some excellent community made ports, all you need is to hunt them down. The ports are the best chance at experiencing these without 'issue' and at higher resolutions.

Ol' Duke Nukem has nothing now on The Postal Dude. Can't wait until No Regrets release.
You mean No Regerts?

Why wait?
The EA version has loads of content.
I got about 12 hours spent on it I think and that was 2 content updates ago.

I'm all for remastered versions of games, but the gameplay dynamic on them tends to change, whether it's for the better or not, it still differs from the original experience.

In most cases these remakes are dumbed down because people can no longer handle a significant consequence to dying in a game.

Checkpoints and savestates are a must for the latest generation. Heaven forbid you might have to start an entire level over again!

I've got something for you:

Cause it's great fun already and you missing out for no reason I guess

I have owned the game for a great deal of time already, but expecting me to play a part-baked game time and time again is like asking of whether I play Star Citizen with the kool kids or when I am planning of replaying CP2077 because it is such a great game with extensive life path variety that I am missing out of.

In my time of gaming, I have replayed loads of games, Ultima being the gold standard, but I am not keen of alpha/beta testing games until kingdom come. Just as I already own BG3, I have checked it, but I am not going to test it until release as it fundamentally a spoiler of immersion. Been there done it many a time, and the last of it was with Wasteland 3, which for all means purposes is still a project in progress even though it is released with a new expansion already.

No, I am not missing out on anything. In fact, I am going to play more games when it is finally released as a completed package, /cough CP2077.

Hmmmm I kind of like the idea of a new Duke Nukem game, but it pretty much won't ever happen as it goes against all the current "sensibilities" in the market and of course it will get drowned out by all the gnashing of teeth for SJW types...

Its just not something that can ever be handed to the guys who had anything to do with DNF if it ever could fly in the market.
