Dumb DataPro Ad

Today I started hearing dumb (yet kind of anti-telkom) DataPro ads on 702, how they offer excellent value and such with their businesses of some VoIP (or something) and @lantic and how they aim to be the prefered alternative to the incumbent. Yesterday I had to phone @lantic again, although their staff are proficient, they have ridiculuous hold times these days. And they limit your mailbox size to 5mb before it probably bounces mails :/

And DataPro is expensive too :/ If they aim to be better than Telkom with their expensive hardcapped accounts or 10c per MB accounts, well, I'll believe it when I see it.

Datapro and all there subsidery suck for service !

Would not support them.

Its the same crap as Mweb 145 per month, Datapro use usage billing and scroe an all useage not used as they charge initally for the full 3gb.
 
Hmm, I think the problem may be that Datapro are coming from a business market and entering a consumer market. A dangerous gamble for them, they need to be very competitive to pull that one out of the bag.

They also need to jack up thier act regarding advertising and marketing - I was semi-involved some years back with print adverts, Datapro pulled the work I saw being done, which was modern and most excellent, in favour of sub-standard design - why?

Politics and "who you know" - rub my back, I rub yours - yada yada. Marketing assh0les getting in the way as usual.
Dumb ads originate from dumb marketing people "too clever" for thier own worth, more interested in wheeling and dealing in a small pool of associates than actually creating innovative messages.

I HATE marketing people as a rule and any company worth thier salt has to watch thier marketing dept. very very closely, lest they "get above" themselves.

quite honestly datapro is not expensive, compared to any other solutions with same benefits, HOWEVER they have no idea what they are doing, trying to get any solution other than a normal adsl connection going is like getting water out of a rock. so based on that even after being a customer for 6 yrs, i wont refer anybody to them.

refering to mtn who launched their HSDPA without being able to actually provide anybody with it?? hehe :rolleyes:

or you join the so called usage based billing where you can buy additional gigs when you reach cap, then you reach cap and they have no idea what you talking about when you say you want more gig's. :eek:

i dont get why they would block ANY adsl user's mailbox to anything less than like 3gb. i mean, they have to download or upload the mail using their usage based account, so its a win win situation for them the more email the consumer sends? right? :confused:
