Has anybody played this yet? I was just wondering how it is.

Played Beta, Heavily instanced....I didn't like it that much due to monthly subscriptions :( Felt very GW to me

Edit : To Add...However the Class/Character creation is amazing! DnD fans will love that

know a couple of people who have the game and from their opinions its VERY party oriented, ie. a rogue is a necessity due to traps and so forth.

but due to its subs i would only consider it if get bored with GW.

check some of the posts here if you wish. ;)

Well i ordered me a copy anyway to play it and see how it is ....if not all to good then i just keep on playing Guildwars fulltime and leave DDO alone...probably will get my copy this week

you have 30 days free play time, thus it can help you make up your mind. ;)

did not know that ....i'd say score so i dont have to pay to see how it is, is that what it comes down to??

just like WoW, when you buy it you get 30 days trial for free... it helps to make up your mind.

Still have to pay to see it :( Regardless of 30 days. They really need to push these 7/14 day trials out!

As all said it is not a bad game....For what it is worth though i rate it on GW's level....I can understand payment for Lineage 2, WoW etc...but i cant see why you need to in DnD Online....Not enough content for it

Well i thought i 'll fist get my copy later this week but to my surprise it arrived yesterday afternoon....I'll probably check it out soon enough not just right now....

From what I have heard it is only instanced dungeons, has not no secondary market, no trades etc. Only see a group once formed, portal travel to destination = boring.

A guildie of mine tried it after Beta but didnt stay long. I play EQ2 so it seems there is little comparison.

Does anyone know what the monthly subscription is? I have had a look on the website and I can't seem to find any info on the subs. The billing information is terrible...

Gonna start playing this on the 1st of april ....just waiting for another friend who also wants to play....as soon as i start playing i'll let you know how i find it

Right so dungeons @ Dragons online....well first had some trouble to get an account but got that sorted out.....then after installing the game it did round about a 50meg update and then log in....so you log in and you must choose one of 5 servers you want to play on....so there is a small catch with this lets say you connect to server A now create your character and play a couple of hours, quit go do something else come back later, login again and now you have to connect to server B cause server A is full then you wont be able to continue with your previous character cause its only availible on server A...so if you want to continue with your previous character you'le have to quit wait for server A to gain an opening and connect to it and play.

Well lets go on further.....

Create characters...well it has its variety of options of race class and how you want to look ....hair,eyes,nose, ect. Also you'le see that the menu part to create your characters and where you can choose them once created looks alot like WOW.

Ingame.....

Awesome graphics...gameplay is different to Guildwars and was something to get used to but that went quick, there is alot of aspects in the game that guildwars doesn't have which makes it awesome. The game to me had a real WOW like feel to the game with alot of new things to it making it beter....so if you like the WOW gamestyle with extra's(and not the cartoon characters) you'le like to play this game....

Must say I enjoy playing the game it is a whole lot of fun just one thing when they said that you must do mission with groups/party...they were not joking...
Was the only real setback for me is you must find a party willing to go with you or someone who will help you and not all the players in D&D online is so friendly like the players on guildwars. Found one person who was willing to help me out as i go along...i still died a couple of times...but hey it was fun....

Hope this help, if you want more info just ask.
