I have a user that is working on Office 2007 with SP2 install for office. The thing is he gets around 900 mails and more for the same e-mail. I have created a new PST file and re-created the mail profile with a different name to it. I have search on the net for any solutions but cant find any. Please help me.

Do they use a personal folder to deliver to or is it on an Exchange mailbox?

The outlook is setup to use exchange. Its a internal email that is send from one user to another user in the company. The mail is delivered to his personal pst

We picked up this problem as well. Try changing the mail to deliver to the exchage mailbox. give it an hour or so and if the mails arent duplicatin you can change it back. Looks like a bug with Exchange.

edit: **above post looks like sound advice.

If you send him an email, does he get duplicates?

What Exchange version are using? You can track the message in Exchange to see what it does and where it goes.

i have asked the server people to trace the mail and on there side, the mail example "Me" was send to him and received by him one 1 time. But when you look in his inbox, the same mail with same subject is like appearing 900 mails and still coming in. We have 3 exchange servers here. 2003, 2007 and 2010. Dont ask me why we have 3 exchange servers. We have users that runs from 2003 to 2010 office. But i have 2007 on my pc and the user that receive duplicate mails also has 2007 office. I cant say to my boss that there exchange servers is the blame for this, because we have users that has 2007 running on the 2007 exchange and the 2003 also on the 2007 exchange. My boss will say i have to figure this out and fix it. But if i downgrade the user from 2007 to 2003, then the duplicate mails stops. But the user needs 2007 to work on

Don't use a PST, just let Exchange do its thing (deliver mail from Exchange mailbox to Exchange OST file on the w/station)
Or, If you really want mail in a PST then either move mail from the OST file to the PST or do an Outlook archive.

With Exchange (any version) it's safer/better to use the OST file (Exchange default storage on client).

Thanks guys

i set the mail delivery to the mailbox and setup a rule to move all the mails from the mail box to the pst. The mailbox size is 30Mb so i had to set up the rule. The user dont get any duplicate mails any more

Always a pleasure.as a test see what happens if you set delivery back to the personal folder.
