Duplicating movieclips with AS3

Hey there. Can anyone please help me with Flash Actionscript3? I would like to duplicate a movieclip symbol onto the stage randomly using AS3.

I'm pretty new to AS and i cant google it coz im capped atm

I know you need to make a class but i do not understand how you use the class.

Any help would be appreciated Thanks.
