Hey Guys. Does anyone know what the access is like in Durban? Reliability etc. Also who does site testing to test for signal strength down here? Any advice/suggestions welcome.

Very Happy now that everything is back 2 mormal, im in Morningside area, and im connecting to Mal park (Hypermarket) with 46%.

So far so good...
 
I checked on the map at Sentech and it claims i have a Partial reception. How reliable is this? I don't really want to commit and then im left with an intermittent connection :(. Thanks.
 
Bobb - use Nic Roet's distance calculator with the GPS co-ords for your house from the Zone locator and Tower GPS co-ords from other posts on this forum - if you are within 5km you should be fine. Also go to www.nowire.co.za and contact the Durban agency - they should be able to send out a signal tester to verify your signal :)

Im in Glenwood just off Clarke Road. I will get the distance calculator and work it out.
 
Bobb, you gonna have to wait for Bay of Plenty and then it may still be partial, but a pringles should sort you out.
Glenwood actually falls under Overport but that still 6 weeks or more away.

K, but then why is the call centre blaming that cos im having problems finding the base station?? But when I eventually do, I get 48% sig?
 
I havent really sat down and worked it out. I will try do so, but I think it must be about 4KM or so I think. I will try get a acurate distance.........
