I wonder what the position is for those drivers who convicted themselves by signing admission of guilt forms.

I don't suppose there is any danger of a fraud prosecution considering that comrades like Pallo Jordan, Hlaudi Motsoeneng, Carl Niehaus and Chippy Shaik never even got a slap on the wrist for their frauds. Cope laid fraud charges against Ellen Tshabalala in July 2015 but, eighteen months later, SAPS were still dragging their heels so it seems that she will also get away with it.
 
Trick is to drive sober. That way, there won't be any a nurse with questionable credentials drawing your blood.

The driver claims he was sober, and hired a team of expensive lawyers to poke holes in the state's case. Seems standard procedure these days, whether innocent or not. The era when courts uncritically accepted the police version of evidence at face value is long gone...
 
I bet you will also find that this "nurse" is connected to the person dishing out the contract.

They, yes both, deserve long jail terms for wasting tax payers money, the courts time and assault to every one that had blood drawn.

Absolutely. We asked for it. We voted for it. We should indeed, without hesitation, pay the price for their actions. No discussions surrounding this.

The article implies that the nurse was dishonest about their credentials (or management didn't check). Absolute integrity is necessary, to avoid taking shortcuts with the evidence, in a rush to secure a conviction.

I did read that, and I'm sure they have the skills and training, but without certification its worthless.

Same when your drivers licence expires: You don't suddenly forget how to drive, but you will get fined, and be liable in the event of an accident.
