Whole evening i've been getting Searching for base station...
Thank goodness I have a 3G phone...at least i can still post to the forum
 
Yes, you might use your cellphone, but at your own cost. So now you pay Sentech for 30 days' use, they are offline 1 and will not credit you for that day. Meantime you have spent an additional R30 to be online.

When I complained, Mr Casper Cassidy said that Sentech can be offline for 60 days per year (according to the contract) without you being eligible for some compensation.

Oh, and yes, Mr Cassidy said, since I complain so much, he is sending me a letter to cancel my contracts (3).

Not received the letter yet.
 
So that is 83% uptime. That is so shocking!!!!!!!! What happened to 99 or even 95%. So for 2 months of the year they can be down and charge you money for basically nothing. Gee I wonder who is owned by the government?? :mad:

I have noted that 24-7 Online connection has been up 99.5% of the time, that is great incomp with ADSL & Sentech.

I have a mate that is running p2p on 24-7 Online connection. He has monitored it and so he informed me of this (here say). Thus exluding maintance and upgrade on towers . Hope this answers you're question?
