DVB-H and 3G info

Can anyone give me more info on DVB-H and 3G, as I am looking how it integrates with live broadcasts and would this replace the dstv set top boxes, I know multichoice is looking at it as an additional income stream ?;)
 
um what i find really interesting about this whole idea is that they want broadcast the 2006 soccer world cup over this thing... now please tell me does ANYONE know of a phone that supports DVB-H???? who exactly is going to be watching the world cup??? its not that long away so unless these phones start appearing they are gonna be broadcasting it to Billy Bob down at the 7Eleven in Smith Street Durban :eek:

Nokia's model has been available for a few months and quite a few on the way.

DVB-H will provide a broadcast based downlink on a separate network, while the GSM/3G network will more be used for reverse link to provide control, i.e. you'll manage the service via GSM/UMTS but receive the stream via DVB-H.

There is a broadcast section in the UMTS standard but not yet implemented.
 
Which Nokia models are avaliable in SouthAfrica that have DVB-H support??
