I was just thinking, howcome DSTV uses such a low resolution for the DSTV mobile platform, looking at an atricle on how DVB "works" the article says "The typical maximum transfer rate for a DVB-H system is 15 Mbps."

Now I'm assuming that one can stream 480p at 2Mbps which is far lower than the usual 15Mpbs so why isn't DSTV doing this, I've been told its to eliminate people using it on big screens but it is so kuk on small ones that they surely can up the res just a bit
It makes no sense to me that they are purposely under using a technology's potential, unless do they have to pay more to use higher bandwidth for the service?
