I am looking for any of the linux supported full featured dvb-s cards(hardware mpeg). The haupage or twinhan cards. Any one have any idea where to find them in za or an importer ?

dvb-s cards dont do hardware mpeg encoding (which is what you are asking for, i assume)

zilch. zippo. none of them.

a very select few have hardware mpeg DECODERS, but what is the point when any modern cpu can do the decoding in realtime without breaking a sweat...

thanks for your 5c but you haven't helped at all.... Still need a supplier in za.

i think i was a bit helpful.

i narrowed down your list of suppliers from *none* to those that actually exist.
:-)

or you can carry on shopping for a hardware encoding mpeg dvb-s card, if you so please.

personally, i dont know of any in s.a. at all. people i know who bought these things got them from dvbshop.net.
the technotrend with CI is probably the one you should be eye-ing out.
