I brought one of these DVB-T USB sticks back with me from the UK and was wondering if I could use them for anything locally.

If so, could you guys point me in the direction of some software that you know of for this purpose? That would rock :D

lots of software to work with them, but iirc the transmissions are only around centurion right now, but that is open to correction from other forumites.
so unless you live there, then it is pointless

Nope. I'm in Durbanville, Cape Town.

Can anyone confirm if there are signals here?

None.Keep it till end of year and you can use it.Sentec is surprisingly fast with their transmitter upgrades and they are almost complete with only the Western & Northen Cape to be upgraded.

I called the Sentech control room in Milnerton (CT) and they said that they were starting tests in October and officially starting on 1st November. What make of USB stick do you have as I am after one. I hear that Comp Mania are getting the Chronos models in soon.
