DVD Drive regional zone change

No - I've got 5/4 attempts ... but it's just out of pure interest

Sometimes you can flash a drive with a hacked region-free firmware.

Gawd I rmbr the old days of Creative DVD drives and flashing firmware, now I just use Region Killer or buy an open zone drive!

In the old days, Creative Drives (6X) were Region Free out-of-the box .

Aaaahhh, I had one of those... the drive is long dead... but I still have the decoder card

No, sorry... why don't you just rip the disc using DVDDecrypter and watch it from your hard disk?

Um. Why not just use VLC to play your dvds? VLC doesn't care what region the dvd or the drive is.

Once I saw power dvd changed the region when playing I stopped using it.

Another answer is to have two dvdroms. One for region 1 and thee other for region2.

Using vlc is so much cheaper though.
