DVD issues onmy laptop

hi all

new to the forum!

Please can someone please help?
I watch alot of dvd's on my laptop, and alot of the dvd's dont want to run on my laptop(mostly series boxsets)! Sometimes only 3 or 4 of the dvd's in the boxsets will works and the others not!!!!!!!
I have tried dvd region killer, to no avail! and i have tried a few different media players!

i am ready to pull my hair out! what can i do???????

Replace the rom entirely.

Try cleaning the optic lens first, (easy enough on a laptop) but this is a last resort before a replacement.

Use an earbud and a bit of ethanol alcohol or buy a lens cleaning kit.

Depends on the laptop, model and manufacturer as a local google will help.
