dvd recorder

hi there im looking to buy a dvd recorder that can write the recorded films etc to a cd disk, do u get something like this yet, what model would u recomend? something that will replace the old vidio machine, but can do what it did, only record on dvd cd discs, and not tapes?

I have an LG that I got at Makro - rather get one with both a hard drive and dvd writer.

And google your requirements before you go to a shop - don't get taken advantage of .

I have a philips dvd recorder that I cant fault - paid R1200 at hifi corp.
OR why dont you skip the DVD recorder stuff and turn to pvr and media PLAYER
Just need a hard drive and you can have all your recordings in one spot.
