also had to d/load dvdshrink because I don't backup in ISO format ;)
 
lol... well i got this program called winFF - it can convert vob files, and dvd shrink can get the vob files from the cd. I also got handbrake and smartripper and dvdflick but i haven't tried any of them. Im feeling smartripper looks like the best though... fairusewizard takes way to long. If you dont' care about money (well every1 does :D) you should get magicdvdripper - easy and quick and good quality. you can get 5 free rips with the trial.
 
speaking of time .... how long should it take to convert a movie?

That depends on what kind of quality you want. My DVD rips are near DVD quality. I'm very picky.
 
well it still has 40 minutes to go ....... I'll just have to wait and see what I cocked up :D
 
mebbe I should just install it on this PC and see ....... surely an E8400 won't have any probs.

ok, the 'lite' version doesn't let me do what you said to do Gary ......... keep asking if I want to open the main download page :( Any suggestions?
