DVD writer problems

Hi, got a samsung writemaster 18X DVD rewriter, it can write dvds and everything fine, read cd's,copied cd's & original dvd's but when i put in a copied dvd it just reads it as a blank disk, if i write a dvd and then put that dvd back in, same problem but other computers can read the DVD fine...any ideas why it doesn't read them? DVD writer can read/write both +/- dvds

when you say "copied dvd" i trust that you have copied using decent software like ripit4me and the like.


when u say other pc can read them fine ... i am guessing it is a firmware update needed. check that the disc that you are using are compatible with your writer......

be wary of samsung and lg writers ... you might need a firmware update if you are copying on discs that the writer cannot read (read: benq, picknpay no name brand discs, etc.) try copying it on a verbatim/tdk/sony disc and see if it can read it.
