Jeez... All I want is a Samsung SH-S223Q writer. I don't want an LG, LiteOn or Sony...

Why are there so few writers to choose from at online stores? I've tried Take2, Sybaritic and a couple of others whom have since withdrawn their listings.

*sigh*

Anyone have any recommendations or suggestion?

Thanks...

Pitty you not in Jhb man, I got one from Pcinternational not to long ago.

matrix stocks them IIRC check with them although the IT guy from there told me not to buy a samsung dvd writer because they get returned every two weeks ...

Maybe it's the same writer which they keep in circulation? :D

I believe that's the 223F. From what I've read, it likes to break. Sometimes on the first day, sometimes in a month. The 223Q is apparently very good and I've yet to find a negative review (user or professional) of it yet.

Plus, I like Samsung :o

Thanks, ryu - will give them a look. Um.. they have a site? :D

I'll give 'em a shout at some point. I already settled on an LG GH22LS40... Although, I really would've felt more comfortable with a Samsung :o

*mumbles* Lucky Goldstar *mumbles* ... Sounds like a bag of rice... or maize..

It hasn't been withdrawn though. And usually stock doesn't take too long to arrive - a week at most.
