Does such an adapter exist? I want to connect my Pc to my HD TV @ a high resolution.

Also try a local site .. hdcabling .co.za - I've find the oddest little bits and pieces there.

note there sometimes the screen resolutions messes up check with ur tv manual what resolution it supports and if possible change it before connecting it to the tv
symptoms of resolution problems screen is going crazy or just completely blank/black screen

Will I be able to buy this adapter at an electronics store? Anyone know?

Normally you get one with your GPU.

It sells for about R125-00

DVI-HDMI

Looks the same as the VGA-DVI Converter only the VGA end is HDMI

Is your TV Full HD or HD Ready? If it is only HD Ready an HDMI cable will not give a better picture than your VGA cable because the signal has to be downscaled. Of course with Full HD HDMI is the way to go. I've tested this on a few TVs. Don't be fooled by the 'HDMI is always better because it is digital and VGA is analogue'. HDMI does not transmit 1366x768 as well as a VGA cable.
