DVR help

I have one of those no name brand dvr's I got from my dad and two cameras.

The thing is, when I connect the cameras it does show they are connected but I am not getting any display on the screen. If I disconnect them a buzzer rings notifying a camera is disconnected. But if I reconnect it, it still does not dislpay anything.

Can some one maybe help with this?

Check ntsc vs pal. Also do the cameras have power?

Hi, they all on pal. Yes the cameras has got power. The infrared lights come on.
