So who has it and is playing it and what are your overall views of the game so far?
Better than the first?
I'm 14 hours in and taking my time. Really enjoying the side quests and story.

Got it with 4 friends for co-op, it is a fun chaotic buggy mess, but it is totally worth the fun and laughs we getting from it.

Solo playthrough is quite decent, not as buggy as co-op. Choices seems to have impact but not that much. Side quests are fun and interesting. The combat and parkour feels amazing. The performance is super well done it is the first game I am able to play with full raytracing on a game that I am still getting 90-100+ frames. I was expecting way worst performance on launch, if you compare other big AAA games that came out.

It is definitely not GOTY for me, there are a few things missing from DL1, but there is enough content in the game to not care about it. The story so far is okay, the writing isn't the best, but I expected as much.

Overall I would tell people to get it, if they enjoyed DL1, but if you new to the series, I would suggest waiting on a sale in a few months. They did put a ton of effort in the game and the easter eggs is just amazing and just show how much the developers put their heart and soul in this game!

The first one was fantastic at the time.

After having watched Worth a Buy's review and some gameplay clips, I'm not too excited for DL2.

Will leave it to mature (get fixed) for a while, same as Cyberpunk (which I recently bought quite cheap, but still haven't opened yet).

I'm on 20 hours at the moment, and have not come across any game-breaking issues. One or two minor bugs, but nothing in line with CyberPunk, and nothing that would make me consider shelving the game until it is fixed.
For me, it's been one of the best launches of a AAA game in years. Am thoroughly enjoying it. 20 hours in and I still feel like I haven't even scratched the surface

My experience with DL2 was phenomenal until I hit the biggest bug in the game. My game crashed at the final mission when I live streamed wow. And the saddest part was, I got caught up in a deathloop meaning, I couldn't get to my mission or play the game without dying multiple times. I didn't even fall or got killed by a zombie, viral or volatile however, I still got squashed and died instantly in the deathloop. The part that really pissed me off was, that the Final Mission disappeared in front of my eyes while I was streaming. I just couldn't played the final mission again to destroy the final boss.

That was the biggest bug I experienced in Dying Light 2 on my Xbox Series X but even though that happened, I am still inlove with the game ❤

Should you get it? Yes, if you can't wait to get your hands on it and played DL1 before. If you want to wait for a monster discount or sale on this game, so be it! This game still rocks even though I got embarrassed on stream. Even that didn't turned down my viewers because they were all hyped lol with me.

DL2 is the best game so far for me in 2022 especially when you play it on a next gen console or a monster gaming rig.

I finished the game yesterday. Damn, it was as much fun as the first one.

When is Dying Light 3 coming out?
That is great buddy! I think Dying Light 3 will only launch in 2028 probably.

There's 5 endings in Dying Light 2. You only completed 1 side of the story.

Check this out, I've installed this mod and it's almost doubled my frame rate to over 90 FPS (I'm in the area where Lawan shows you how to paraglide and initially my GPU was struggling at around 55 FPS) and the quality and level of detail of the graphics has been massively improved. I'm running a GTX 1080 with an i5 12400 and thinking I'd be forced to upgrade my gfx card sooner rather than later but this has totally breathed life into my setup :)
