Your son is an incredibly brave person to do that...

At 16, there is less than no chance I would have been able to cope with that. Hell even at 30+ now, I was a broken individual when I had to have my boy put down recently...

I know hey, i can't stress enough how proud I am of him. I was so worried as we couldn't even discuss before hand what was going to happen as I didn't know myself but really, he absolutely refused to "abandon" her in her final hour. Looking back now, i do think being there definitely gave him a sense of closure thou.

Think when my dogs time comes in hopefully 70 years time - the vet will have to come to the house... I can't bare the thought of her being put down on a clinical table
