My HomeDSL192 has really turned out to be a top deal :D

Getting a stable 280+ kbps the last three weeks and the only time my IP changes is when I restart my router.

Why doesn't my IP change ? Its been the same for the last two weeks. I'm not complaining its just odd, I can play BF2 right past midnight without stressing about the disconnect :p

And you're complaining - you poor unlucky bugger.
I examined my logs and mine disconnects twice a day. At 00:00 and at 03:30.
Wierd.
Seems i'm getting your disconnects. LOL. Typical.
/me goes and joins born loser club again.

What Model Router Are You Using?

I have read that this happens with certain Routers.
You do know that it is your Router's own onboard clock that resets your Router every 24 Hours that you are connected. Well this is what I have been told.
I can only assume that your Router's clock, "behaves" itself for the choice of better words.

So perhaps you should state what model and make that Router is?

Not complaining, but I would like to know why this happens ? :o

* edit : Got a D-Link DSL-504T, and its system time is in line with my PC's.

what's weird however is the log, its date's are wrong (bought the router in July) :

XXX is the same though out. I've cleared it previously, but the dates are still wrong, and now I see even after a restart it retained the same IP.

I wonder... I suspect this may be the case for me as well... I'll have to check up on it though.

DLink.

I thought it was a DLink, but was waiting for you to say it.

Many of the forum members recommend that Router.
You bought well.

For the record I use a Zyxel 650R-31.
No issues. But my IP is reset every 24 Hours.

I'm not impressed by D-Link. I have had better and more user friendly experiences with Netgear. And not that its a trainsmash, but the thing constantly emits a very faint high pitched electronic noise.

i'm using a d-link, noticing the same thing, my ip is constant till i do a hard resart on router. i thought it was my dynadns that kept it.
