I want to setup e-mail on my motorola V3 with mtn but I don't know how. I tried sending e-mail setting to my phone but it doesn't work. I have an account at mtn loaded.

The Easy Way

Step 1: Register a gmail account
Step 2: Point your WAP browser at http://m.gmail.com

There is also a hard way, which has never worked for me. I'll post details in ~a day.

The Hard Way

Step 1: Know or learn your e-mail account POP3 and SMTP settings.
Step 2: Open your phone's "Message Centre"
Step 3: Open "Email Msgs". When prompted "Connect to remote mailbox?" answer "No".
Step 4: Push the menu button (between "BACK" and "SELECT"). Select "Email Msg Setup" from the menu.
Step 5:
ISP Settings: I've got Connection type = GPRS, APN address = internet, User name [blank], Password [blank], DNS IP = 0.0.0.0
Email provider: I've got "Custom", but you might have "MTN Email" or something similar as an option - which you'll probably want to use ***unless*** you want to access your own, personal, already-existing e-mail account.
Protocol: POP3
User ID, Password, Sending host/port, Receiving host/port, Return address, Name: You should know. Particularly the last one.
The rest I think are quite self-explanatory (except "Security" - basically it's safe to assume you DON'T use SSL unless specifically told that you do).
Questions?
