E-toll decision next week

The final announcement on the controversial Gauteng e-tolling system will be made next week, according to the Department of Transport (DOT).

This is the timeframe given this morning by the DOT's deputy director of media relations, Sam Monareng.

What are your predictions?
My guess is that they will still go ahead with the ORT system but give about a 40% to 50% discount off the original tariffs and then add some funding from government coffers and possibly another fuel levy (or an increased tax on the existing fuel levies).

I wonder if they will change the pricing of the Gautrain to "compensate" for the lost of funds?

Regardless, I will not pay, and if they try I will have a few PK's saved up for them.
