E-toll judgement kicks off

Judge Bill Prinsloo started delivering judgment on an urgent application to halt the Gauteng e-toll project in the High Court in Pretoria on Saturday.

A few days ago when Judge Prinsloo first threw out the amendments to OUTA's application for an interdict, I was wondering if the judge was concerned about his pension money disappearing with a ruling against OUTA (I assume the pensions of the judiciary also fall down the black hole that PIC has dug for all public servants).

My faith in this (previously unknown to me) judge's respect for the law was restored, first with his ruling that the application was urgent, and now with his ruling in favour of a court review of etolling.

Clearly Judge Prinsloo recognises that there is something extremely fishy going on with DoT/SANRAL and the whole etolling concept that has the potential to do long term damage to Gauteng residents and potentially the whole country if SANRAL is not subjected to intense and independent scrutiny.
