E-toll payments will be refunded: Lesufi

Would have really preferred if they threw all the non-payers in jail though. Thin out the herd a bit.

Imagine owning a freight company with a R500 000 credit. Sweet, I can drive between JHB & Durban on the N3 for free until the year 2155

When we wonder and complain about all the new rules introduced to squeeze the money out of the citizens, we should be asking that from the sheep who just take it. So I'm not sure why they bother refunding you; you wouldn't have complained anyway.

Some of us had no choice. Company vehicles owned by Avis/Equestra and like for which we had to pay e-tolls.

Now wondering how my company is going to reimburse us all for the e-tolls we paid for and more worrying all the ex employees who have left.


How is Avis and other car hire companies going to reimburse all their customers that paid for e-tolls for all these years. They not going to refund foreigners, etc. They just going to get a nice fat check and pay those who complain.

The govt should have just said no refunds. It would have been easier but they love tedious job creation.

The eTag is awesome. Your time is valuable, and it’ll save you plenty of that on National Toll Routes. The Gauteng etoll costs are trivial. We’re literally talking pocket change. It should actually have been higher to get the poor off the roads.
