E-toll tariffs halved

"Motorists will have to pay their outstanding e-tolls upon renewal of vehicle licences, Ramaphosa said, “creating a solid link between road users and the e-toll system”.

Eina!

Indeed you are right, I see their only option would be an "AARTO Enforcement Order" that then blocks all transactions on the eNatis system. But how feasible is this for them, as I can personally testify that they haven't done this for outstanding traffic fines, as I was able once to get my licence disc BEFORE paying any fines.

Has any had their licence disc refused due to an "AARTO Enforcement Order" here?

The thing to remember about #Etolls is that if the system was ever going to work, they would have made it work long before now. Just relax, this dead albatross is never gonna fly.

Love that taxis are still exempt. Cowardly cANCer knows that these okes will burn down the gantries. They k@k scared of the ramifications. cANCer knows that their tax base (read cash cows) are too complacent to rise up and stand together in defiance of this bull$h1t.

Nothing really has changed, the rate/km is the same, and the so called halving of the cap is smoke and mirrors, cause 90% of the people who were supposed to be paying in the first place, according to Sanral never reach that point.

Anyway, once you are signed up and paying, they will just do what Eskom is doing, and look at their lovely increases they have forced through of late.

Fuggem, fuel levy it.
