E220 3G on Acer Aspire One netbook

Anyone know if a E220 works on an Aspire 1 netbook. Heard there is a problem with the USB?? If so, are there any other alternatives? Its running on XP Pro SP3.

I have exactly the same kit, using the same setup and notebook (the 110 version) -- absolutely no problems, though using the Huawei Mobile Partner software works a LOT better than the bundled software.

Running Ubuntu netbook remix on my acer
No problems, just needed to disable the pin lock.

One thing I did pick and this is not limited to the Brand of the laptop, only plug it in on the right hand side USB. For some reason it fails to work correctly on the left side.

I have both the E220 and E272 and the problem exists with both of them. I even tried a different E220 and same issue - and on different laptops too. Use the the two headed cable as you need the extra power for the E220.

Its only with the latest AspireOnes (we have both 10" and 11" at the office) that all the USB ports are working.
