E220 Connect Speed

I need help, please. My new E220 modem connects at 53.6kbps (CSQ -85dBm) with either 3G / GPRS.
My old Nokia on dial-up is twice as fast at 115.2kbps (CSQ -89dBm).
How can I improve the connect speed of my E220????

Check your USB port settings in Windoze Device Manager etc, preferably make sure that your PC's BIOS is up-to-date and then check if you have the latest BIOS drivers - in that order.
