I think if you purchased an E220 from Telkom it would be plug and play

What about downloading the E220 drivers from the Huaweiy site. they should work on any network.

Sorry, not sure. Unless you have an early version of the 220 I thought the drivers would install to both Windows and Mac devices. I did this a while ago but remember having to wait for a good few minutes before there was any sign of life.
