Does anyone have the same prob as me or can give me advice?
My e220 modem works no prob in Windows 7, but the max speed I can get is 1.8mbps. When plugged into my laptop with XP, I get full 3.6mbps. Anyone know what the problem might be? Im using VMC lite, the latest firmware etc etc

How are you determining your maximum speed?
Vodacom's speed test? The number reported by windows when you connect? Your assigned profile in MDMA?

I use vodacom speed test as well as speedtest.net. When I normally download stuff on my XP machine I get 350kbps, but when I use Win 7, I get max of 170kbps. I have no idea why. I have tried configuring the speed on my modem in the dial-up connection in Win 7, but no luck.

So this is two different computers, a laptop and a desktop?

Have you tried different ports on the Windows 7 computer, front and rear, with singe and double USB cable?
Have you tried running the tests with them physically close together, in case signal strength is an issue?
Are you running the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 7?
Are you using the same SIM card?

2 Different computers - laptop (XP) & desktop (W7)

1. Tried different ports - not that
2. Its not signal as the 2 pcs are next to each other.
3. 32Bit windows 7
4. Same SIM card

Are you absolutely sure about that?
