E220 vs. Ghost 12

I need some assistance please. I use Ghost 12, but if Ghost is running my e220 usb modem fail to connect to the server/isp/internet, it also does not show my e220 in my computer, instead it lists it as a cd-rom. If I disable or uninstall Ghost, re start my computer, then only can I connect to the internet using my e220. MtnVPN is activated on my Mtn sim, but I don’t think that makes a difference? Is there a firmware update for the e220 or alternatively a software patch for Ghost or windows that will solve this problem? Operating system is XPSP3, I don’t think its hardware related, because I have this problem on several of my machines, ranging from P4 to Core2.

Anny assistance will be appreciated.

So, you ghost the drive and when you boot from the ghosted drive, you can't connect, but when you boot from the original one, you can?

No, I have Ghost installed on the machine, if I don’t stop the Ghost service manually, I can’t connect using a E220.
