Ok, I could swear I have posted about this issue before, but for the life of me cannot find the thread.
I have an E220 modem that I normally use only during the day. I get fantastic speeds from it and no complaints. Come the evening (like now) and I'm getting 8KB/s download. Decided to try my TYTN connected via USB on the same download, and getting 120KB/s. Swap them around and same sort of results. WTF??? How on earth can the results be so freaking different? It's driving me up the creek.
Edit : So in the last little while I've been trying something. Whenever the download is dead slow, disconnect the data session and restart it. 80% of the time the download is just as slow, but every so often I get an IP address that cruises along at around 120KB/s. The latest one has been going for 15 minutes. Going to leave it here and see if the speed stays constant. Left the TYTN completely out of the equation now.
Could there be a dodgy IP range on the tower I am connecting to??
