I'm in America for the next few weeks, and I am here just in time for E3 2007. Although it is closed to the Public this year, it does have an entire channel dedicated to live coverage. So every night I'll try and update what I have heard and seen on E3, please forgive me if I leave out all the bull**** some of these companies throw at us like statistics on how many sales they made this year and why you need to "Buy our console because it will suit your every needs, and their console wont!" But there is going to be no way remove me from the sofa for the next few days. Ill Update after each showcase and/or show. So far here is whats been going on. If you have a nice connection in South Africa you can always watch the G4tv - E3 07 Live - Videos which can be found here.
July 11: Microsoft's Games on PC and XBOX 360 + Spore
July 11: Microsoft's Games on PC and XBOX 360 + Spore
Microsoft's XBOX 360 is going to be releasing some of the years most anticipated games of the year on their console including Assassins Creed, Call of Duty4, Medal of Honor: Airborne, A huge new array of Arcade downloads, Halo3, Grand Theft Auto IV, Bioshock, a massive selection of EA Sports Titles and Resident Evil 5. The TV kicked off with an exclusive preview to Will Wrights latest and highly anticipated phenomenon, Spore.Spore is now officially in its Alpha testing stage which gives many enthusiasts hope for a mid to late 2008 release date, however don't expect much more spore news this year at E3 as the team has decided to spend the time developing, instead of bragging)The exclusive footage which was shown can be found at here. Amazingly, I hear that Gears of War is going to be released on PC which I didn't expect or even know about.
As for the PC, Microsoft was quick to announce that VISTA is by far their most gaming friendly Operating System and will be releasing all of their future games as "VISTA ONLY" so that the upcoming titles can make full use of the new DirectX 10 graphic capabilities. Spore, Grand Theft Auto 5, Assassins Creed, Call of Duty4: modern warfare, Medal of Honor: Airborne, and Bioshock are just a few of the amazing games which were Demoed tonight and so far everything looks absolutely amazing, especially Call of Duty4: modern warfare and Medal of Honor: Airborne. Surprisingly, Assassins Creed showed about 3 or 4 bugs during their short 3-5 min demo which was not expected seeing as though they have now officially announced a release date of November, 2007. I was pretty darn pissed off when G4TV decided to go to a commercial break about 5 seconds before BioShock was about to be preview
(lame), so I got nothing on that except hope that it will be as amazing as its looks. (edit: saw what was I missed on BioShock on the Site I mentioned above)
One of the XBOX guys who was presenting also gave us a sneak peak at a special edition XBOX 360 Console which will be launched with HALO3... so far the only difference I can see on it is that its Army Green... instead of white... with matching controllers...
