Hi ,

Apologies if this has been covered, I have a dell 510 and I cant get the E620 to work.
It picks the card up and there are no conflicts, I can create a normal DUN with windows and it works, I can even issue the modem at commands and its fine.

My problem is as soon as I use the software it comes up with “detecting card” and then after a couple of minutes its says invalid card and then you cant do anything ?

Any suggestions ?

Which version of VMC have you got installed?

flenters, you should not need to create DUN configs. You just need to install the Vodacom Dahboard and use that to connect.

I think that is what he is doing :)

I have seen the same problem with the Dell D600 laptops.

it is fine with a normal dun.

will be waiting for a answer 2

If possible flenters, try the card on another D510 and see if it works. Also update your BIOS to the latest. I use an OPTION Globetrotter on a D505 of which the D510 is the updated model as far as technology is concerned.
If the card works on another D510 and still does not work on your PC after the BIOS update, log a call with DELL and see what they have to say.
