This afternoon my good friend put me in a technology frenzy..
he informed me that the price of the Q6600 shall be drastically reduced by suppliers in mid July, this is two weeks after my purchase of the E6600
What I need to know is that is it really worth going down the Quad core route just yet? I mean to my knowledge there are no real apps that will benefit from this, or are there?
I game online and occasionally play a single player FPS or Racing Sim with fairly decent graphics. The positive news is that there may be someone that's prepared to buy my E6600 in a couple of weeks, for around R200 less, should I let it go and go for the Quad core?? I mean besides getting more scores in benchmark apps, will I benefit from this move?
Ultimately I want the best in-game quality (AA full, AF full etc) and decent frame rates.
