E71 and 3g Sim card

Ok I got a sim replacement today (3g Sim), but when I switch my phone on I get an error , "sim card registration failed", does that mean this sim is faulty? or does it mean my number is still being converted to the new sim?

Sim swops can take days before the new sim becomes active. I have waited a whole week before....

Keep your phone switched OFF. Check every hour or so to see if the simswop has be processed.
