E90 now available!

-The gps works ok but I will have to get a stand or holder for the car. It also comes with Garmin XT software that gives you a 30 day trail. So I will give that a try later in the week.
-I got the phone Thursday and used it out of the box...battery works good. I gave it a full charge thursday night and with taking loads of pics, gps, mail, surfing and loads of time sorting out my contacts the battery is sitting at 2 stripes. But then its the first charge.

Well let me get on with playing around with thephone.

anybody see any deals in the weekend papers???

anyone know when MTN will offer this phone on their networks??

My E90 is on MTN. But then I must say they did ship the phone from JHB as they dont have any in Cape Town.

I must say I am really impressed with the Mail for Exchange. I now dont have to jank out my laptop to read mails and reply to them. The Batt is also very impressive. Looks like I am going to get atleast 4 days on normal use.

What is the size of the phone like, compared to the Nokia 9300i? Friend of mine is VERY interested in this phone....

is Kingrob actualy gonna dump his P990 for a E90..... :)

Will the SE P1i or HTC Touch not do?

The SE P1i looks damn ugly, not a big fan of Windows Mobile (mind you, with the latest offerings from HTC, I'm starting to have a closer look), so it's either SonyEricsson, or Apple. ;)

I thought the size is going to be a problem but its shorter then the 9500 and a bit wider then the 9300. The big difference is the size of the screen on the inside and the resolution.
The whole hinge is way better then the previous bunch put together. The other neat feature is that you can start to type a mail on the outside screen and continue on the inside screen. So you can do everything on both screens.

The thing that bugs me about the P1i is the lack of HSDPA. I really don't understand how the designers could have left this out on the new top of the range business phone offering.

I had the opportunity to test a friends E90 today and I must say I'm very impressed. This phone is well thought-out, designed and built. The keyboard with the D-pad and protruding keys works great. I did however find the phone a bit "dumber" than I expected - possibly because my expectations were so high. Can't wait to get it when I'm due for an upgrade in October - or as soon as a really good deal crosses my path.
