EA gave me a free game

So, this thing wont let me take Bulletstorm or The Saboteur...

When I enter the code the only option is credit card payment. When I enter it for Dead SPace 2 it allows me to continue. Anyone successfully purchased Bullet storm or The Saboteur?
 
downloading my free copy of dead space 2 now, worth it for missing out on 2 days of beta
 
is funny though how you can get Dead Space 2 for free, but something like NFS Shift 2 doesn't work.

so you get a higher priced game for free, but not a cheaper one???

Random, did you apply the code on the page it asks for your CC details?

input your CC details and then on the next page input the code again and it will, if it works, show you that the game is R0.00

Have you tried it it like that? I'm a little hesitant to click once my details are in though. And why on earth would they need my CC details for a free game. Haha

But thanks for the advice. Maybe ill give it a go. Bulletstorm looks fun.

that is how I checked if it works on both Dead Space 2 and NFS Shift 2.

it takes me 1st to the page where it asks for my details and as mine is saved I just click next.
on next page I simply enter the code in the PROMO CODE space and say apply and it does what it needs to do before you have to pay for anything.
(this is the final page where it asks you to tick a box to accept the T&C's)

@atlas quite a few people I know who got this code has redeemed theirs, although I have still yet to see some1 redeem something other than Dead Space 2.

their selection is definitely not the best out there.

EDIT: tried a few others. no luck on Bulletstorm, Crysis 2, The Saboteur.

really can't seem to find any pattern to games they allow and ones they don't.

Im saving mine for a month, but when i tried on the EA/origin south africa web site it cancelled the fee to 0 on all of the ones i tested crysis2 dead space battlefield bad company pack, i havent tried in origin.
 
still no luck for me going to the actual website of Origin instead of the program.

I am thinking maybe every1's codes differ in terms of what it can do.
 
I have received my mail this morning from Origin that they are sorry for the trouble's i had with origin and they have given me a free game. So i tried to redeem the code but it say's " The product code you have entered is not valid ". I type the correct code in and even copied and paste the code but still same error. I did send them a email back .Did any one had these problem

it is not a REDEEM CODE, it is a PROMO CODE.

so you will have to do it via your cart.

this the way you did it?
 
choose the game you want, click add to cart, go to checkout, at the bottom of the page where they ask for credit card details etc you can enter in promo codes, copy paste it in and click redeem. Done.

Correct, got my Meass Effect 2 to work.
But, it took a while for the code to work..... I had to retry a couple of times before it accepted it, it will show the amount as R 0 when it is correct, no need for CC details.
 
Doesn't seem to be any way to get support either... origin failing further ironic.
 
EA gave me 2 free games

LOL... Was being noobish yesterday and couldn't get the code to work for me. Contacted EA online support and they gave me a code for Need for speed Shift 2. Download completed. Read about the "promo not redeem" code and so, applied the original code to Mass Effect 2 in the cart and it worked.

2 for 1 for me :D :whistle:

yoh, I know some1 that will be quite furious if they saw that.

I find it ridiculous how some people get such good support from the online support and then others can't seem to get stuff all right.

I waited for about 2hrs only to find out that no1 available to help me. twice

who did you speak to kat and at what time? and this is the online live chat we talking bout right?
 
Yeah, EA live chat. Twas 6am yesterday morning before I left for work. I was the only person in the que so got to talk to someone very quickly.

2nd download complete. :love::D
 
I wonder if its possible to give someone else the code to use, my machine isnt really suited for BF3 and im not really into fps with aliens and space, i was thinking to give the code to someone who wants to get a game from EA and they gift me MW3 on steam, worth a try:)
