Doctors successfully transplant first ear 3D-printed from living tissue

In a world-first, doctors have successfully transplanted a 3D-printed ear, made from living tissue cells, onto a woman born with a rare deformity.

The patient was born with microtia, a birth defect resulting in the ear's external portion not forming correctly. It can also affect hearing.

3D printed piels will be the inevitable endgame of this technology.
With the rate of botched circumcision in the eastern cape - would be something necessary.
A few years ago Tygerberg hospital even did the first penile transplant (paving the way for you to really consider saying that you wouldn't "do" her even with someone else's piel)
