Earphones for ipod

Hey guys my original Ipod earphones is falling apart, I think my ears are hungry or something. It's Earbuds.

Now I want to get new ones but someone told me to get in ear ones, but he also told me not to get the ones from apple.

Now I'm not sure what to get, I've looked at the Razer M100 pro, Sennheiser X300, Skullcandy Smokin buds or something.

I dont want to spend more than R400 bucks.

Should I get one of those or would you guys rather get conventional headphones ?
My ipod almost goes everywhere with me so portability is kind of important.

Any sugestions are welcome.

For earphones I would stick with sennheiser.
 
The normal apple earphones dont work with my ears either. The right ear sits fine but i have to keep placing the left one back in my ear it keeps falling out or just moves out of my ear slowly all the time... so i keep forcing it back in the whole time its so bad that my ear gets red and sensitive because of all the friction. Wish they could just transmit the data to my brian :p
 
O to overcome this i put the earphones in sideways with the speaker facing the hole in my ear.. its louder(better) and it doesnt fall out... its look awful though goofy and i look like a crazy person with the stems of the earphones sticking out to the side lol :D
 
Before you spend R400 on whatever - wander into your local electronics shop and try out a pair of R80 Phillips buds.
I used a pair for quite a while - found them better than the Apple buds and at R80 you can play it fast and loose with them and not feel bad cos they don't cost too much - they also have a rubber ring around which may help with your fitting issues.
 
Sennheiser CX300. Decided on this, this week as well.
Buying online, you can get it for about R450.
Looks good. Works great. 2 year warranty.
 
hmm Soundz have the Sennheiser PX100 on sal for R478 or something they normally retail for about R740-800 looks like a great buy, and I've read alot of good reviews on these, any thoughts.
 
PostmanPot do you have any proof, or do you have reasons for saying that ?

Intrested that's all not trying to offend you, cause yes I would much rather pay R300 for the same qaulity.
 
I have the Razer M100's and absolutly love them. Fit is much better than any other buds that I have tried (with the exception of a pair of Shure that I tried on, but those cost in the region of 150 quid).

The sound of the M100s is good, though the mids and highs are a bit weak if you ask me. On the whole, for the price I highly recommend.

damn still a bit in the dark but it seems, the scullcandy is defnitly out.
The Sennies looks to be best quality.
And the Razer's are the best bang for the buck.

I agree 100%. I was very disappointed by the in-ear Sennheiser earphones. I tried a number of them, and they didn't impress. I think tried some Philips ones for around R100 and they are great! I thought the Sennheisers would have been excellent, cause I use closed ear Sennheiser headphones on my PC, which I love.
