Ebook reader - Cheapest

Lol, I was pulling his leg to get him to make a starting price :p

But I think I will rahter then save up R400-R500 more and get a small netbook.

Video/documents/sofware in general with less fuss :)

Even though I'm sure you could find many other uses for it other than as a ebook reader how about an ipod touch?
 
I read txt books (not pdf) on symbian 60 no problem, just slightly squint eye'd now but no problem the chicks dig it :)

There's plenty free readers out there for phones.
 
yeah maybe, wonder what causes the snarl? the chicks will be falling over themselves :)

Lol, im more an old school type of guy. Im not on facebook 24/7 on my phone, my emails can wait till tomorrow and I don't see the point of having a phone playing mp3s if I have an mp3 players thats 1/6th of the size of the phone so if the cell phone can phone and sms / mms im happy.

As for the Ipod touch I would then rahter buy a small netbook 7-10" screen for half the price. (I have an Mp3 player that works fine thanks ;)).

Also for the price they charge for Ipods there are better deals out there imo like the Nomads etc etc.

Well it might be cool...not sure about its usefulness with ebooks, it isn't really made for that. It uses a proprietary OS, so you might struggle getting apps.

I see it's equipped with a linux-based OS. It might not be that difficult getting apps after all.

Looking for some elcheapo readers to give to some kids when school starts.
Anything less than a R1K would be fine.
 
Just bought a Kindle for a friend from Amazon.R1100 for the WiFi version incl shipping and taxes.Best option imo.
