eciadsl pppoe on linux

What kind of encapsulation is used on Telkom's DSL?

RFC2516 something or other?

I have my modem set up on Linux (USB), using eciadsl, and I'm trying to connect using rp-pppoe using the virtual ethernet "tap0" connection with no luck...

Everything else is setp up right...so it must be the encapsulation...

Anyone have any ideas?
