I am planning to buy Ecoflow river 2 max to be used specifically for powering up a work from home set up consisting of:
Laptop
One display unit
Router
A printer
Desk lamp
Based on my calculation the consumption should be around 176.89w. I intend to add solar panels later towards end of the year.

Will it be sufficient for the projected load consumption?
Ps. I am in a remote area.

How long do you need to power your devices vs how long do you estimate the ecoflow to last?

How quickly does the ecoflow need to recharge vs how quickly does it recharge?

yes, the river 2 max is awesome.

I bought one a month ago. You'll need to add solar panels straight away as the unit will only deliver just below 3 hours on 177w. (It's a 512Wh unit, so 512/177). You might want to double check the printer usage - they are normally heavy power consumption wise. But the ecoflow can boost up to 1000w for short periods of time.

Mine carries me through 8 hours of working day, but I only consume 50w with MacBook Air and second display.

Oh, and a current (due to expire) life hack - buy it from Hirch's. Currently on special for R6999.

What solar panels are you using with your RIver 2 Max. I am also eyeing that special at Hirsch.

Normally on a worst case scenario it will need to power up to 4 hours (stage 6) before recharge. I can go on without using a printer.
If it could last atleast 4 hours before recharge I am happy.

Is the printer a laser?

If it is the standby use and working use may varies substantially

Also keep in mind you will probably not get the whole 512wh as usable power

No idea what the efficiency of these are they do say they charge quick, easy when all you need to charge is 0.5kwh

The best way to know would be to get a kill-a-watt or similar and do a 4hrs stretch to see what you consume

Or switch everything off except the plug that these devices connect to and simulate 4hrs shedding and take meter reading before and after

No idea how much you can shave off that 177w

But so far looks like you will need panel from day one

I would go for the Ugreen PowerRoam 600W Portable Power Station - 680Wh LiFePO4. It's R7542 at Loot and has more Wh.
Ugreen makes a solid robust product. I have the 2048Wh version and must say am really glad I went the Ugreen route.

So a friend, household of 4, uses either this or a similar type of device. He bought a battery to increase the usage time, and can use it at church and if they go away for a trip, he simply takes it with.

It makes sense from that point of view.

I have the Ecoflow river 2 max, it's been good over the last 10 months and recharges rapidly and is very portable and easily fits into a cool bag for protection. However upfront I would have preferred the slightly bigger Ecoflow River 2 Pro , but for some damn reason it was not launched locally although it was launched worldwide at the same time as the River 2 max. When I spoke to Ecoflow several months back they suggested the Pro 2 was being launched this March, not sure if this has happened ..

Wouldn't it be more cost-effective for you to invest in a mini UPS to power your router, utilize your laptop battery when there's no power, and purchase a battery-operated desk lamp?
You could simply have to live without the monitor and printer.
