I have prior experience in building and running my own basic Wordpress/woo-commerce sites so that is the platform I would like to execute this project on.
I need a site/system with automated order management on the back end. Need a system that does the following:
1. Customer orders items, fills out form, pays and checks out.
2. Order along with customer form info are sent by email to an "order approver".
3. "Order approver" marks the email as approved or rejected based on items ordered and form info. If rejected order is cancelled and customer refunded.
4. If order approved an automatically generated PDF email of the approval note containing the ordered items (approved packing list persay) is sent to the shipper.
5. The shipper prints out this PDF for the parcel, ships the parcel and marks the email as shipped with tracking number which updates the order status to shipped on the clients side and sends them the tracking.
Hope that's clear I have a few examples that I can post if required but none industry specific. The items being shipped require license info and other sensitive information from the businesses ordering, item dependent, thus the required and automated "approval" step from a regulatory body that can't be completed by the website admin.
Automation is key, That's the sole purpose of this project. Payment gateway implementation (payfast), basic client side and admin side back end fluidity, basic design work and SEO needed as well.
Questions... Can this be accomplished on the Wordpress platform? Cost estimate for a quality fluid system of this type?
