ecommerce with wordpress

Hi there!!

Saw there was eCommerce thread but not specifically focused on eCommerce with Wordpress. How do you guys feel about eCommerce with Wordpress? Anyone tried it yet? Is it secure with the plugins?

Would like to get you guys comments on this.
 
woocommerce is tight. Regularly updated, massive and growing community with all sorts of extensions to enhance it.

Currently building an ecom site for a client with wordpress & woocommerce.

What are the costs related to processing credit cards and such?

I see they bundle with Paypal but is that even an option in SA?
 
Hello!

I searched for ecommerce and came across this post. I'm looking to redevelop my website ( http://www.tshirtterrorist.co.za ) - I've been against "cookie cutter" platforms in the past (although this was years ago) but I am changing my opinion given the enhancements many of these platforms have undergone regarding ecomm.

There are quite a few to choose from - a know a bit about Wordpress, but there is also Shopify.

Yesterday someone sent me info on Prestashop.

Besides these, are there any other platforms being used by members, or that can be recommended to check out before I make a final decision on which way to go - Platform or Html redesign?

WooCommerce the answer, still busy with mine but so far so good. You familiar with Wordpress?
 
Awesome, thanks GeckoSoft. Already started with the theme, installed Woocommerce, all thats left now is the Payfast plugin. Should be a breeze :)
