My pc was bought from EComp a couple of years ago and last month I sent my pc back to the shop for repairs. After a few days I found out the store is closed. I tried phoning the people in charge but could get no reply.

I don't know where my pc is now and is worried I can't get it back.
Any suggestions on what to do?

Look online or in the phone book for a cell number. They should be able to tell you what happened. I hope they didn't disappear with your rig. How long have they been in existance?

Go back to the shop and see if there is a Liquidation notice on the shop window , you will have to contact the liquidators to recover you PC, otherwise it is going to be sold in an auction to pay out the creditors.

you need your invoice and serial numbers to try and recover it from them , or they going to get you to fill in form and wait in line to get paid out.

Unfortunately all the numbers I've been phoning are already cell numbers. It looks like they are deliberately not answering. The shop has been running for at least 3 years I think

trust me they have disappeared we knew they were in trouble since January 2011 that is why we stopped selling to them.

EDIT: Check your PM I am sending you the details we have on our system

Thanks for the reply, I don't recall seeing a Liquidation notice on the window. I'll go check again, but I'm pretty sure there was nothing unusual on the shop windows

They've been there for ages. I moved to Pretoria in 2004 and they were already an old shop.

I didn't see one either and I was quite surprised when they closed, they never announced it or anything, just BAM!, gone one day. I've got the cell number of a woman who worked there, don't know if she's the owner/manager, if you want it. Haven't used it in a while though.

Someone told me they moved to moraletta park (spelling?). Dont' know how true that is.

Thanks for the help. If they have moved then hopefully I can find an address.

The phone numbers either go unanswered or the person speaking on it doesn't work for EComp anymore.

The thing is though, I can still see stock in the store. It hasn't been cleared out yet. I wonder if I can get someone to open up the place to see if the pc is still there.

Please go see the Centre Management for that building urgently !!!

if there is stock in the shop than they most definitely under liquidation or in the process .

You are going to lose your PC if you don’t get a court order to have it released or if you do not go speak to Centre Management for that building

The Insurance company that insures our debtors told us in January that they were high risk and were in the process of closing down and was ask not to supply them on account
